You don’t have any work resolutions for this next year? You don’t even know where to start with it? By the end of the year, all the tiredness seems to settle into your body and mind. We might not have the answer about how to get rid of it, but we can help you avoid this much tiredness for the next year by sharing three great tips with you.
First, you might want to learn to delegate. We always say how it’s just easier and faster if we do everything ourself. True. But at some point, you might lose time and… energy! So if you can: ask for help. You’ll be more efficient for much harder tasks. And if it seems scary to ask for help or even advice, take the risk. The only bad thing which could happen to you is a “no”. Otherwise, you’ll get to learn something new.
Secondly, you might want to put time for you on your calendar. Easy to say, we know. But you might want to try it out. The more we like our job, the more we spend time on it and forget about the rest of the world. But as you know, we need a social life next to work. And not having dinner with your collegue at his desk at passed 10 pm… Why don’t you challenge yourself to do something new once a week? And if you feel guilty, you can still join a networking group or go to business conferences to stay in the working field.
One thing you should definitely do, especially if you own your own company, is to set realistic goals. Don’t spend money you don’t have in the bank yet or don’t rely on verbal agreements either. You do not want to spend time and money you don’t have with your lawyers… So keep things on a pragmatic level. You’ll go further.
The word to bear in mind this year is “challenge”. You can achieve a lot more by trying new things. We hope this article has been helpful and wish you a great year for 2017!
